Freedom Lunch

Across the Netherlands, Freedom Dinners are organised on 5 May on the initiative of the National Committee for 4 and 5 May. The Freedom Dinner is a special gathering around the dinner table, where guests discuss freedom and the lack thereof: themes one does not typically reflect on every day, but which are particularly fitting to consider on Liberation Day.
The Freedom Meal in Slochteren is organised by Landgoed Fraeylemaborg in collaboration with the Lions Club Skiramere Slochteren and the residential communities for Ukrainian refugees in the municipality of Midden-Groningen. Whether you’ve lived here all your life or are a newcomer; whether you’re young or a bit older: everyone is welcome to the meal. However, it is important to register in advance. Details to follow.
